The host of the Fetterman-Oz U.S. Senate candidate debate held Tuesday night in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania blasted the Fetterman campaign for trying to blame the closed captioning system demanded by recovering stroke victim Fetterman for Fetterman’s train wreck performance.

Following the debate, Fetterman’s campaign issued a statement claiming Fetterman did “remarkably well”, but criticized the closed captioning (via Axios):

“We are thrilled with John’s performance. He did remarkably well tonight – especially when you consider that he’s still recovering from a stroke and was working off of delayed captions filled with errors.”

Debate host Nexstar was having none of it, blasting Fetterman for not taking advantage of both dry runs offered to the Fetterman and Oz campaigns before the debate.

Nexstar statement via subsidiary NewsNation:

Chief Communications Officer Gary Weitman said in a statement: “It is unfortunate that Mr. Fetterman is now criticizing the closed captioning process employed by Nexstar during tonight’s debate. Both candidates agreed to the technical set-up for the closed captioning process weeks ago, which was implemented at the request of the Fetterman campaign. “Both candidates were offered the opportunity for two full rehearsals with the same equipment used in tonight’s debate; Mr. Fetterman chose to do only one,” Weitman said in the statement. “In fact, Nexstar’s production team went to extraordinary lengths to ensure the effectiveness of the closed captioning process, and to accommodate several last-minute requests of the Fetterman campaign. The closed captioning process functioned as expected during rehearsal and again during tonight’s debate. We regret that Mr. Fetterman and his campaign feel otherwise.”

Before the debate, the Fetterman campaign sought to lower expectations, issuing a statement pre-blamimg the closed captioning for Fetterman’s expected poor debate performance (excerpt).

We are prepared for Oz’s allies and right-wing media to circulate malicious viral videos after the debate that try to paint John in a negative light because of awkward pauses, missing some words, and mushing other words together. The captioning process may also lead to time delays and errors in the exchanges between the moderators and the candidates. In fact, because the captions are going to be typed out by human beings in real-time, on live TV, some amount of human error in the transcription is inevitable, which may cause temporary miscommunications at times. It is impossible to control and unavoidable. That’s OK – what matters is that people get to see and hear John’s values.

“John has had a remarkable recovery, but the ongoing auditory processing challenges are real. The campaign insisted on closed captioning technology because it’s necessary. But he’ll be open and upfront about those challenges, just like he has been in interviews and at rallies for the past few months. John knows this will not be easy, but he is showing up because Pennsylvania voters deserve to hear from their candidates for the Senate.

100 Percent Fed Up exclusive – On October 16, MI GOP candidate for SOS Kristina Karamo dropped a bombshell video that’s part of a series of over 20 videos, each exposing a #DirtyDeed by the current Soros-funded MI Democrat Sos Jocelyn Benson. The episode “Benson’s Dirty Deeds #12 – East Lansing Epicenter” got a lot of attention on social media. It also got the attention of Ingham County’s radical Democrat Clerk, Barb Byrum.

Here’s the video:

Unfortunately, Kristina Karamo, Michigan’s first black female Secretary of State candidate, has become accustomed to Democrats like Barb Byrum attacking her. Byrum sat on a couch next to Michigan’s lawless Democrat AG Dana Nessel and nodded like a bobblehead when Nessel threatened Kristina Karamo in realtime with a felony for talking about voter fraud during a Trump rally in April 2022:

On October 17, through a series of tweets, Ingham County Democrat Clerk Barb Byrum, who loves to pick a fight with anyone who doesn’t align with her leftist views, attempted to “fact-check” the details shown in Karamo’s video that exposed a corrupt 2020 election.

Instead of looking into the allegations made in the video, Byrum used multiple made-up “facts” to refute the East Lansing study, which is part of Ingham County, where Byrum is tasked with overseeing elections.

But Ingham County Clerk Barb Byrum wasn’t only attacking Kristina Karamo on Twitter; she was also attacking Anne Hill, the private citizen who provided the research used by MI Republican SOS candidate Kristina Karamo.

Rather than arguing the merits of Anne Hill’s Lights Out report, Byrum began with a personal attack, saying, “Anne Hill is a gadfly in the East Lansing Community and a frequenter of “doing her own research” when it comes to many topics.

Anne Hill is a gadfly in the East Lansing Community and a frequenter of ‘doing her own research’ when it comes to many topics. Unfortunately , when you do not learn from a certified expert, you run the risk of making big mistakes. https://t.co/9RfpZqK9gl

— BarbByrum (@BarbByrum) October 17, 2022

Unfortunately, when you do not learn from a certified expert, you run the risk f making big mistakes.”

Perhaps if the clerk had done “her own research,” she would have avoided “making big mistakes.” A Web search of the U.S. Constitution would have informed her of its first three words, We the People. Bothersome as Byrum might have found the fundamental principles underpinning this great nation, those three short words might have helped her gain a modicum of emotional control.

Perhaps she would have realized that the framers of the Constitution, having just overthrown a pompous and unstable king, did not want to concentrate power with one ruler. Instead, they established a system of checks and balances for three branches of government. They declared that the Constitution derives its power not from a king, a court, or a congress [or from a county clerk] but from the people themselves.

This concept of popular sovereignty—of power to the people—forms the foundation upon which the entire Constitution depends. The founders realized that laws alone are insufficient to preserve our constitutional republic. Only citizen watchdogs, armed with the law protecting their unalienable rights, can ensure free and fair elections.

Citizen involvement is key to restricting government employees from overreaching. It helps ensure they stay within the boundaries of their citizen-granted authority.

In examining East Lansing’s voter rolls, Hill was exercising her rights. As importantly, she was performing her civic duty.

Pulling back the curtain on Byrum’s personal attacks

Clerk Byrum blatantly smears Hill’s findings, claiming she did “not learn from a certified expert.” So, are we to assume Hill’s Master’s degree in Business Administration, her double- and often triple-documented evidence was insufficient? That Clerk Byrum, armed with her 1999 BS degree in agribusiness management, is the ‘certified expert’ to whom all must defer?

Oddly, Byrum chooses the phrase ‘certified experts’ just as leftists are pushing to limit citizens’ rights to challenge questionable activities at election locations. (Thankfully, they are losing in

It is also a peculiar coincidence that the clerk’s Twitter rampage erupted four months after Lights Out was published in May 2022. Byrum unleashed her rabid tongue-lashing after Hill sent a letter, dated Oct. 14, to Jennifer Shuster, the East Lansing City Clerk. Hill’s letter advised the East Lansing City clerk that the newly announced one-stop satellite voting sites on the MSU campus looked to be illegal.

Hill wrote, “I received your news release of 10/10/22 regarding the Rotating Satellite Office on the MSU campus and have some concerns about satellite offices on the campus being compliant with Michigan election law.”

State laws require the sequential distribution of ballots. No way can these roving, one-stop voting offices keep the city’s ballots in sequence, let alone secure. New laws require the meticulous tracking of each absentee ballot’s chain of custody—impossible to do considering the nature of the pop-up offices and their unsupervised drop boxes.

Last but not least is the issue of bias.

Hill pointed out, “Specifically, these rotating satellites are only scheduled for MSU campus locations. Targeted satellite offices for the expressed purpose of registering voters may violate MCL 168.509dd. Voter registration programs need to be applied to the entire city in a uniform manner. By locating the satellite offices only on campus, which by default targets the student population, the program is not being conducted uniformly throughout the city.”

In light of recently published photos of the county clerk posing with Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, City Clerk Shuster, and the newly resigned president of MSU, is it possible Clerk Byrum was pressured from above to attack a truth-telling citizen? Perhaps the four comrades took umbrage at being called out for breaching at least three state election laws.

(Left to right) Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, East Lansing City Clerk Jennifer Shuster, MSU President Samuel L. Stanley Jr. and Ingham County Clerk Barbara Byrum pose at the satellite clerk’s office on MSU’s campus.

The flip side of the coin

“Totalitarianism: the political concept that the citizen should be totally subject to an absolute state authority.”
– Merriam Webster

Byrum’s attempt to shame a citizen for conducting independent research implies that Hill, and by extension, We the People, should accord blind trust to government information.

How well did that trust work out for the Winston Smith character in George Orwell’s 1984?

Before rushing headlong down the path to public Twitter floggings of private citizens, a paid and elected public employee would do well to consider where that route leads.

To be fair, let us put Byrum’s histrionics aside and examine the facts:

Byrum mean tweet:

“Did Charlotte Brontë vote in the November 2020 election in East Lansing while residing at the Dublin Square pub”?

Fact: Much as Byrum seeks to ridicule Hill’s claim that dead voters cast counted ballots in 2020, she cannot deny that five—yes, 5—deceased voters cast counted ballots. The eldest of the 58 dead registrants to haunt East Lansing’s rolls was born in 1896, making that person 124 to 125 years old. The other four who voted from the Great Beyond died in 2014, 2019, or before Sept. 1, 2020.

Hill presented obituaries and additional confirmation to the East Lansing City Clerk. In tacit affirmation of Hill’s indisputable evidence, the clerk removed the dead voters.

Byrum’s baseless howling appears to be part of a larger pattern of behavior. Consider this: For the past two years, the Public Interest Legal Foundation has presented similar documentation on 26,000 deceased voter registrants statewide. Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson has refused to remove the corpses from the rolls. PILF recently won a court victory when a U.S. District Court denied the SOS’s request to dismiss. The case is proceeding.

Byrum tweets

Among the “oddities and anomalies,” you mention are people who have moved and are no longer at their addresses. I would remind you that this is a college town. It is not uncommon at all to see people move on to other places within a two-year period.

If they move within Michigan and register to vote where they move to, that registration is updated and that voter is no longer on the East Lansing voter rolls.

If they move within Michigan and register to vote where they move to, that registration is updated and that voter is no longer on the East Lansing voter rolls.

— BarbByrum (@BarbByrum) October 17, 2022

Fact:

You said it yourself, sort of. Each year approximately 8,000 MSU freshmen enter, and 8,000 graduate and relocate to new locations. IF THEY MOVE AWAY, THEY SHOULD NOT CAST BALLOTS HERE, and no one should cast ballots using their identities.

In another Barb Byrum Tweet:

If they move to a state that participates in ERIC and register to vote there, the local Michigan clerk is notified, and the voter is sent a notice to confirm. Eventually, the voter is removed from the voter rolls.

If they move to states that do not participate in ERIC (like California, New York, and many others), then there would have to be proactive action taken to remove them (the voter writing a letter to the clerk). As you might imagine, that doesn’t often happen.

If they move to a state that participates in ERIC and register to vote there, the local Michigan clerk is notified and the voter is sent a notice to confirm. Eventually the voter is removed from the voter rolls.

— BarbByrum (@BarbByrum) October 17, 2022

Byrum adds:

Anne, and you, by reference, call these voters ineligible. This is simply not the case.

Fact:

So, the voter moved. Let us be generous and assume the clerk sent a notice to confirm. How do you explain the 1,557 long-gone registrants recorded as having cast counted ballots?

One voter. One vote. It’s hardly rocket or agri science. It is the clerk’s responsibility to ensure the integrity of the voter rolls. Our trusty Merriam-Webster defines ineligible as not eligible, not qualified, or not permitted. What term would you prefer Ms. Hill uses to describe the 1,557 voters who no longer lived in East Lansing yet cast counted ballots there?

For Byrum to say it “is simply not the case” that these voters were ineligible is simply not the case.

Hill used multiple types of resources to research and verify that these people no longer lived at their previous addresses. These sources were readily available and at the disposal of both the city and county clerk, had either considered using them?

Qualified Voter File (QVF) and History File for the Nov. 3, 2020, general election. Files were FOIAed and received via emailed link from the City of East Lansing Clerk’s Office on Nov. 12, 2020. This file contained 25,545 names of registered voters on the QVF, with 15,142 of them casting a vote.

— BarbByrum (@BarbByrum) October 17, 2022

Fact:

Registered voters are listed as residing at non-existent addresses on non-existent streets. Signage indicated Cherry Lane was demolished in 2011, 12 years ago, yet 50 registrants were listed as living along it. Fifteen—yes, 15—voted absentee in 2020. Only one of the voters met the age criteria for active military service. The 46 votes did not come from overseas military voters.

Drive to the site, and one finds a 12-year-old park.

Fifteen (15) alleged residents inexplicably voted absentee in 2020 from non-existent addresses along this non-existent street in East Lansing, Mich. A park now stands where Cherry Lane was demolished in 2011. As of November 2020, 50 registered voters were listed as residing along the 12-year-gone Cherry Lane, turned park.

Byrum Tweet:

You mention that the dorms were closed in 2020 but that just over 200 voters voted. Is it hard to believe that 200 of the tens of thousands of students living in the dorms requested an absentee ballot be sent to a different mailing address like so many other voters in Michigan?

Facts:

Records give no indication that ballots were mailed to another address. Instead, they show these undeliverable ballots went to unlivable, lights-out dorms. Then 276 votes were cast and counted from them.

Byrum Tweet:

If you have driven around East Lansing, you would know that the fraternities and sororities change houses from time to time. So it should not surprise you that women may have, at one time, lived in a fraternity house.

Also, are we really calling 48-yr-old’s “old timers?” I have to say, that’s likely to tick off a few key demographics within the Michigan electorate.

Also, are we really calling 48 year old’s “old timers?” I have to say, that’s likely to tick off a few key demographics within the Michigan electorate.

— BarbByrum (@BarbByrum) October 17, 2022

Facts:

The issue is not that women may have once lived in former fraternity houses. The problem is that they do not live there now. Votes–50 of them–should not be attributed to phantom residents at phantom locations.

Perhaps Ms. Byrum would care to locate the 500-plus 48-year-olds supposedly living in a sorority or fraternity house. Let us corner these elusive unicorns and ask them if they feel offended at being called old-timers.

Byrum Tweets

Finally, flanking yourself in this video with the word “Honesty” printed on the banner does not make it so. I have been educating people like Anne Hill for the better part of two years on the elections process.

The layperson not knowing this can be excused. Most people only interact with this process when they cast their ballot. However, you are running for Secretary of State for the State of Michigan. You either must know or are intentionally trying to deceive those that do not.

But if you truly do not have a basic understanding of how voter registration works in Michigan, it would be a fireable offense if you were already in office.

As it is, all it does is disqualify you from the office you are seeking. This is yet another example of why voters in Michigan must re-elect @jocelynbenson

Facts:

Perhaps biased Barb Byrum, guardian of our most sacred right to vote, can explain the 105 instances of the same person having two different voter ID numbers. Why did another person have three IDs? Please explain how a person could have four voter ID numbers.

While we’re on the subject of eligible voters casting legal votes, perhaps the county clerk can assure us that she and city and township clerks validate the citizenship status of overseas and university voters. Do they verify passports as many other clerks in other states do?

Finally, we spoke with Patrice Johnson, who is a regular contributor to our site, and here’s what she had to say about Anne Hill:

I have known Anne Hill for several years and found her to be consistently authentic, honest, kind, knowledgeable, and insightful. If Barb Byrum has “been educating people like Anne Hill for the better part of two years on the elections process,” surely Byrum’s life was enriched by the experience.

On the other hand, perhaps the clerk’s daily exposure to the county’s Qualified Voter File is proving too heavy a cross for her to bear. The bloat of ineligible voters, the ghosts whose skeletal remains clatter to life long enough to cast ballots from the grave, the long-gone residents who materialize to vote absentee from other states and multiple locations within our Great Lakes State could rouse night terrors in the staunchest of heart.

Enter the Mason courthouse, and a giant cardboard cutout of Barb Byrum is likely to greet visitors. Let us hope that shallow, frozen-grinned likeness is no measure of the woman’s character.

Then again, even a cardboard cutout has the sense to refrain from harassing a private citizen for doing her duty.

EU Parliamentarian Christine Anderson: “It was all a gigantic lie.”

The EU Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) will investigate the EU’s sham deal with Pfizer to purchase 1.8 billion doses of the untested vccine at a cost of €35 billion. EU Parliamentarian Christine Anderson is demanding a criminal investigation of EU Commissioner Ursula von der Leyen’s role in the deal, and a parliamentary investigative committee.

Last week, conservative Dutch MEP Rob Roos stunned the world by revealing Pfizer had done no tests to ascertain whether the Pfizer/BioNtech vaccine prevents transmission of COVID-19.

“Was the Pfizer Covid vaccine tested on stopping the transmission of the virus before it entered the market? If not, please, say it clearly. If ‘yes’ are you willing to share the data with this committee? And I really want straight answer, ‘yes or no’ and I’m looking forward to it.”

A #Pfizer representative admitted to me that the #vaccine had never been tested on stopping transmission. I joined @RowanDean (@SkyNewsAust) to discuss the implications of this admission. Now, we need #accountability.

I also respond to accusations by so-called “fact checkers”: pic.twitter.com/PdlLefut06

— Rob Roos MEP (@Rob_Roos) October 24, 2022

Responding to Roos’ questions, Pfizer president of international developed markets Janine Small answered “No. We had to really move at the speed of science.” – A comment widely mocked, including by Tucker Carlson and Spectator Australia editor Rowan Dean on Sky News.

I joined @TuckerCarlson to discuss one of the greatest scandals of our time. #COVID passports and mandates placed millions of people outside society. But there was NO evidence the #vaccine would even stop the transmission. This should have massive political consequences: pic.twitter.com/dQQICUKEBK

— Rob Roos MEP (@Rob_Roos) October 12, 2022

Now, the European Public Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation into the EU’s coronavirus vaccine purchases, as Politico reports. “In April 2021, the New York Times first reported on text messages exchanged between von der Leyen and Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla in the run-up to the EU’s biggest vaccine procurement contract — for up to 1.8 billion doses of BioNTech/Pfizer vaccine. The deal would be worth up to €35 billion if fully exercised, according to leaked vaccine prices.”

Unelected EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen earned the nickname “Von der Lying” in the UK press in Spring 2021 over disparaging remarks about the British “Oxford jab”, the AstraZeneca vaccine. Now her deleted text messages with Bourla may be subject to a criminal investigation.

“In January this year, the EU’s ombudsman charged the Commission with maladministration for failing to look for the text messages in response to a freedom of information request”, Politico notes. “Without confirming the existence of the texts, the Commission argued in its response that “short-lived, ephemeral documents are not kept.”

Why is this not on the news? The media is completely complicit in this – there’s no confusing that now. pic.twitter.com/3vvSOnxxUl

— WAKE UP #WeThePeople (@LetsGoBrando45) October 20, 2022

Speaking in Brussels Oct. 20, MEP Christine Anderson (Identity & Democracy group) said that “it was a gigantic lie that these vaccines would prevent you from catching this virus or prevent transmission. None of that was true, as it turns out. All of the mandates, all of the lockdowns, wearing masks, staying at home, curfews, all of it, was based on that gigantic lie.”

The EU now wants to “increase vaccine confidence” by “debunking mis- and disinformation,” Anderson said. “Who is spreading mis- and disinformation? It is the EU Commission, it is the pharmaceutical companies, it is governments, especially in the Western democracies. They are the ones spreading the mis- and disinformation. hey are the one telling lies.. And for what? So the pharmaceutical companies maake profits, and profits, and profits. And the risks? Guess what? You, the taxpayers. will be left with the risks.”

A potentially very serious campaign violation has been uncovered in North Carolina.

TGP received information on serious campaign violations going on in Durham, North Carolina.

A pair of college students working on a story at the voting polls on Monday may have uncovered a serious violation of campaign finance law. The Durham Committee on the Affairs of Black People PAC, the Foushee for Congress Campaign, and the Burkhead for Durham Campaign were each mentioned by name on Monday at the Durham Central Library by an electioneer representing the Durham Committee on the Affairs of Black People PAC. The worker identified himself as, “a poll worker/organizer for the Durham Committee on the Affairs of Black People.” The poll worker, who later revealed his name to be, Solomon Burnette, also claimed that he was working for the campaigns to elect Sheriff Clarence Burkhead as well as helping out the campaign of Valerie Foushee, and the committee to elect Chery Beasley.

North Carolina and Federal campaign finance laws clearly state that political campaigns, which are entities subject to strict campaign fundraising limits, are not allowed to coordinate with outside groups who are not subject to the same fundraising limitations.

In the video captured on Monday afternoon at the Durham Main Library, the students recorded the poll worker who claimed to be an organizer for the Durham Committee on the Affairs of Black People PAC, who was also representing and passing out campaign materials that were marked paid for by the Foushee for Congress campaign and the Burkhead for Durham Campaign. The poll worker was also handing out campaign materials on behalf of Chery Beasley, however, those materials were instead marked paid for by the Democratic Party which does not appear to violate campaign finance laws.

According to the PAC’s Statement of Organization filed with the North Carolina State Board of Elections, the Durham Committee on the Affairs of Black People PAC is a registered PAC filed with North Carolina State Board of Elections. On the statement of organization, the treasurer of the PAC certified that the Committee or Fund is in compliance with all applicable provisions of Article 22A, 22B, & 22D-22M of Chapter 163 of the NC General Statutes and that no funds are commingled with prohibited or other non-disclosed funds.

“There is an established understanding that PACs are supposed to be separate from the candidates,” said the student, who wished to remain anonymous due to the sensitive nature of the investigation, “When a reasonable person looks at what’s going on in the video, they would probably say: ‘This doesn’t look separate. Where are the lines and who will enforce that candidates and PACs are in compliance with the laws?’”

A clear boundary was drawn by the Supreme Court in its formative 1976 Buckley v. Valeo decision, which said that political activity by outside groups must be done “totally independently” of candidates and parties. A similar standard was set in the 2002 McCain-Feingold Act, which said that independent expenditures cannot be made “in cooperation, consultation, or concert” with a candidate.

The student believes that the video recording will prompt elections officials to investigate all parties involved in the scheme and put a stop to any illegal or undisclosed coordination by the candidates’ committees and outside groups. “The campaign finance rules are in place to ensure fairness for candidates on all sides of the political spectrum,” said the student, “An investigation should be performed by the authorities, and if they find that there are violations of campaign finance laws, those involved should be held accountable to ensure that all candidates running for public office are playing by the same rules.”

The video captured by the student is attached below.

Russia will call for an investigation of US biological labs in Ukraine at the meeting of the UN Security council tomorrow, October 27, TASS reports.

According a draft proposal obtained by TASS, Russia will urge the UN Security Council to “set up a commission consisting of all members of the Security Council to investigate into the claims against the US and Ukraine contained in the complaint of the Russian Federation regarding the compliance with obligations under the [Biological Weapons] Convention in the context of the activities biological laboratories in the territory of Ukraine,” and present a report by 30 November 2022.

In June, the Pentagon acknowledged the US supported “46 civilian laboratories and health care centers in Ukraine over the past 20 years as part of peaceful programs” in a “Fact Sheet on WMD Threat Reduction Efforts with Ukraine, Russia and Other Former Soviet Union Countries.

“Ukraine has no biological, nuclear or chemical weapons programs,” the Pentagon stated.

In May, the Russian Defense Department claimed that Democrats in the US partnered with pharma companies and foundations led by George Soros and Bill Gates to set up bioresearch in Ukraine, using the project to generate additional funding for elections.

The US government set up a way to fund the military bio-research directly from the federal budget, but also used government guarantees to raise funds from “non-governmental organizations controlled by the leadership of the Democratic Party,” said Lieutenant-General Igor Kirillov.

These organizations include the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Clinton Foundation, George Soros’s Open Society and investment funds, the Rockefeller Foundation, the EcoHealth Alliance, and Hunter Biden’s Rosemont Seneca Partners, Kirillov claimed.

The Daily Mail published emails from the “Laptop from Hell” linking Hunter Biden to the Ukrainian biolabs.

House Foreign Affairs Committee Lead Republican Michael McCaul has released a statement blasting the U.S. State Department for awarding $20,600 to an Ecuadorian nonprofit for promoting “diversity and inclusion” by funding drag shows in the region.

In a statement about the grant, Rep. McCaul said that “this administration seems more invested in drag shows and diversity than national security.”

“This is another example of reckless spending, demonstrating just how out of touch the Biden administration is regarding domestic and foreign policy priorities,” the congressman wrote. “Russia has invaded Ukraine; the Chinese Communist Party has increased its belligerence towards Taiwan and continues to assert its malign influence across the globe.”

The representative urged the Biden administration to focus on “issues that matter” instead of their “woke agenda.”

“Yet this administration is focused on funding drag shows in Ecuador?” Rep. McCaul asked. “This administration seems more invested in drag shows and diversity than national security. It’s time Democrats in Congress and the Biden administration focus on the issues that matter, not their ‘woke agenda.’”

The congressman also sent a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken requesting more information about the grant.

“This award raises significant questions about the department’s grantmaking decisions and the Biden administration’s overall views of U.S. foreign policy objectives in the region,” McCaul wrote. “It is difficult to imagine how the department determined that funding ‘drag theater performances’ would be a worthwhile use of taxpayer dollars or consistent in any way with the program objectives outlined above.”

The grant was awarded to the nonprofit in order to “promote diversity and inclusion” by hosting three workshops, 12 drag theater performances, and producing a two-minute-long documentary.

A spokesperson for the State Department has defended the award, arguing that it will “advance key U.S. values of diversity and the inclusion of LGBTQI+ communities” and identifying it as part of “a wide range of strategic programs in Ecuador that incorporate concepts from diversity, inclusion, and representation to equity and accessibility.”

Rep. McCaul noted that the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance lists the objectives of the Public Diplomacy Programs under which the grant was awarded as to “support the achievement of U.S. foreign policy goals and objectives, advance national interests, and enhance national security by informing and influencing foreign publics and by expanding and strengthening the relationship between the people and government of the United States and citizens of the rest of the world.”

The congressman added that it “is difficult to imagine how the department determined that funding ‘drag theater performances’ would be a worthwhile use of taxpayer dollars or consistent in any way with the program objectives outlined above.”

Former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik’s latest article at Newsmax addresses the rampant crime in New York and the failed leadership of NY Governor Kathy Hochul and New York City Mayor Eric Adams.

Last weekend, Adams hosted a tw0-day Criminal Justice Summit to discuss the crime wave.  The summit was woefully short on actual solutions.

Earlier in October, as Election Day approaches for Hochul, the two held a press conference addressing crime on the MTA.

We must address both the perception and reality of safety, and the expanded partnership we are announcing today with @GovKathyHochul will do just that, while building off the successes of our Subway Safety Plan. https://t.co/PA4VdGHobL

— Mayor Eric Adams (@NYCMayor) October 22, 2022

The New York Post reports, “Gov. Hochul and Mayor Adams said Saturday they will flood the city’s crime-ravaged  subway system with more cops and ramp up the installation of additional surveillance cameras. This, they said, would translate into about 10,000 extra hours of cops patrolling subways and that New Yorkers would soon see officers covering subway platforms on extended tours daily in at least 300 stations during peak hours.”

Neither Adams nor Hochul addressed the disastrous“Less is More” act that was signed into law by Hochul in 2021 which gives more leniency to parolees and removes reasons to put parolees back behind bars.

Hochul embarrassed herself in Tuesday night’s debate when opponent Lee Zeldin brought up the controversial law saying she didn’t know why it’s “so important” to lock up criminals.

Kerik writes:

Last weekend’s Criminal Justice Summit, put together by New York City Mayor Eric Adams makes clear he will continue to fail the city that he swore to protect.

Prior to Adam’s election, this writer tried to be as optimistic as possible, even though I knew he was never a rising star in the New York City Police Department (NYPD).

However, he did work for former-Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and me, when I was police commissioner, when New York witnessed the biggest reduction in violent crime and murder in its history.

Adams had been a member of the NYPD prior to Giuliani taking over in 1994 when we were averaging more than 2000 murders per year, and were considered America’s murder capital.

He worked through the broken windows theory of policing, and watched the Compstat System, created by former New York City police commissioner Bill Bratton and former Gotham deputy police commissioner Jack Maple, hold members of the department accountable — to do their jobs.

Evidently, he either wasn’t paying attention, or his inability to ignore radical left-wing policies is now responsible for returning New York to the cesspool it was in the 1980s and early 1990s.

Links between the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and China’s People’s Liberation Army

Guest post by Lawrence Sellin

On September 29, 2021, Duke University’s One Health Initiative, headed by Gregory C. Gray, closed its doors and moved to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston (UTMB).

One Health is a globalist program to place all aspects of public health under a World Health Organization umbrella, an effort strongly endorsed by the Chinese Communist Party, which includes a One Health component within its Belt and Road Initiative.

Given its history of collaboration with scientists from the People’s Republic of China, particularly in the area of virus research, it is no surprise that UTMB would warmly embrace the One Health concept.

In fact, UTMB now has its own “One Health – China” research program led by Gregory C. Gray.

There has been long-term research collaboration between Gregory C. Gray and Wuchun Cao of China’s Academy of Military Medical Sciences in studies related to the epidemiological spread of influenza virus.

Wuchun Cao is a senior advisor on bioterrorism to the Chinese Communist Party and a scientific advisor for Wuhan Institute of Virology. He was second-in-command of the People’s Liberation Army’s (PLA) COVID-19 “clean up” team sent into Wuhan under Major General Chen Wei, the country’s top biodefense expert.

Gregory C. Gray also collaborated with Shuo Su of the Nanjing Agricultural University, who is funded by Major General Ningyi Jin’s Military Veterinary Research Institute.

It is not widely know that China’s agricultural universities play a vital role in the PLA’s biowarfare program, which involves not only human disease, but those affecting animals and crops.

Shuo Su was an early adaptor of “gain of function” research in 2014  using influenza viruses and also published about genetic recombination of coronaviruses in 2016. His 2020 work on the COVID-19 virus links directly back to China’s Military Veterinary Research Institute.

Another of Gregory C. Gray’s research partners is George F. Gao, head of China’s Center for Disease control, who has a long history of research collaboration with the PLA, publishing articles with China’s military in 2002, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008a, 2008b, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014a, 2014b, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

UTMB is a major virus research center heavily funded by the National Institutes of Health, especially Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

UTMB is also the home of the Department of Defense-funded Center for Biodefense and Emerging Infectious Diseases and has one of the few Biosafety Level 4 facilities for containing and conducting research on the world’s most dangerous viruses.

There is also a connection between UTMB and the Chinese military’s Changchun research centers in China’s Jilin Province.

Based on Chinese-language documents and scientific publications, the Military Veterinary Research Institute and the Institute of Zoonotic Diseases in Changchun, led by PLA General Ningyi Jin and retired General Xianzhu Xia, appear to be key contributors to China’s biowarfare program.

UTMB Professor Pei-Yong Shi, who was trained in China and is an advisor to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, has links to the Chinese military’s Changchun research centers in Jilin Province through PLA scientist Hualei Wang shown below in a photograph with General Xianzhu Xia.

Research funded by Anthony Fauci’s NIAID has led to patents assigned to Pei-Yong Shi and the PLA, in particular, to Cheng Feng Qin.

Chinese patent application number 201810076027.7 dated October 26, 2018 lists the patent holders as the PLA’s Academy of Military Sciences and Pei-Yong Shi.

As scientific support, that Chinese patent application cites the 2017 article “A live-attenuated Zika virus vaccine candidate induces sterilizing immunity in mouse models,” which was funded by NIAID grant number AI120942.

A second Chinese patent, WO2019144874A1, dated January 23, 2019, also lists the patent holders as the PLA’s Academy of Military Sciences and Pei-Yong Shi.

The three scientific articles used to support the claims made in the second Chinese patent were funded by NIAID grants AI120942, AI127744, AI073755 and AI104972.

That is, U.S. taxpayers are funding research for patents owned by the Chinese military.

Shockingly, it is not only immigrant Chinese scientists, but others at UTMB, former U.S. military officers, who are eager to please the Chinese Communist Party.

In addition to Gregory C. Gray, a U.S. Naval Academy graduate, UTMB’s James W. Le Duc, who worked at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases at Fort Detrick, was reported by Judicial Watch as praising the Wuhan researchers and Chinese officials for their transparency and handling of the COVID-19 outbreak, and, in April 2021, Le Duc accepted a request to be on the Biosafety Advisory Committee of Westlake University in Hangzhou, China.

According to Judicial Watch:

“The records include an email dated April 16, 2020, with the subject line “Rubio” from former Commander of the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases David Franz who informs Le Duc, “I heard from someone in government this evening that Senator Rubio is starting to push for an investigation regarding Wuhan lab.”

Le Duc then forwards the email to Dr. Shi Zhengli, a top Chinese virologist known for her work with coronavirus at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, requesting a phone conversation “soon” about the email.”

That is, a retired U.S. Army officer was de facto warning the Chinese Communist Party of a pending Congressional investigation.

The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston is a true friend of China.

Lawrence Sellin, Ph.D. is retired U.S. Army Reserve colonel and a veteran of Afghanistan and Iraq. He had a civilian career in international business and medical research. Dr. Sellin is the author of Restoring the Republic: Arguments for a Second American Revolution. His email address is lawrence.sellin@gmail.com.

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents rescued a migrant that was stuffed inside the trunk of a vehicle that was ditched in a river by smugglers on Tuesday.

If it were not for their swift action, the migrant would have been killed by the smuggler’s actions.

Before the rescue, a Rio Grande City camera operator saw multiple people loading into a Ford Fusion near the Rio Grande in Roma.

“The vehicle departed the area only to drive into the Rio Grande after encountering responding agents,” the agency said in a press release. “The driver and three passengers exited the partially submerged vehicle and swam into Mexico.”

The border patrol agents apprehended one passenger and rescued a the migrant from inside the closed trunk.

Neither the apprehended subject nor the migrant from the trunk required additional medical services.

That was not the only migrant whose life was saved by Border Patrol agents this week.

On October 24, just before midnight, Harlingen Border Patrol Station agents interdicted a group of 12 migrants near Los Indios, Texas, the agency said in the press release.

“Upon encountering the group, the migrants dispersed in different directions,” the agency said. “While searching the area, an agent and his K9 partner located a subject lying face down and unresponsive.”

The statement continued, “Emergency Medical Service (EMS) was requested and agents initiated chest compressions. As agents performed life saving measures, the subject opened his eyes and gasped for air. The agents carried the unstable subject through thick brush to an access road where an ambulance arrived, and a paramedic assessed the migrant. The man was transported to a hospital for further evaluation and treatment of a possible stroke.”

“I am very proud of our RGV Sector workforce who works tirelessly to safeguard the U.S. against all threats, while at the same time always ready to respond to emergency situations. Great job team!” Rio Grande Valley Sector Chief Gloria Chavez said in a statement.

After the CDC panels voted to add the COVID-19 vaccine to the vaccination schedule for children and adolescents, a parent in Illinois was horrified to get a phone call from the agency inquiring how many children are living with her.

A concerned parent, who wanted to remain anonymous, received two phone calls from the Centers for Disease and Prevention Center (CDC) on Tuesday.

“I just declined to answer two unsolicited calls from a caller ID showed as “CDC NATL IMMUN” with phone number 404-806-4812.  Information on the CDC website indicates this is an official CDC phone number used for CDC surveys,” she told The Gateway Pundit.

“The voicemail that was left asked me to call the CDC and tell them how many children between ages 6 months and 17 years of age who are “living or staying” in my household. The phone number they want me to call is 877-220-4805.  I have not called that number, nor do I plan to,” she added.

After doing research into the matter, The Gateway Pundit has learned that these phone calls were conducted as a part of the National Immunization Surveys that were funded by the CDC.

“Have you been called by 404-806-4810, 404-806-4811, or 404-806-4812 (Caller ID CDC NATL IMMUN) about the National Immunization Surveys (NIS), including the NIS-Child, NIS-Teen, NIS-Child Influenza Module (NIS-CIM), NIS-Child COVID Module (NIS-CCM), or NIS-Adult COVID Module (NIS-ACM)?” an entry in CDC website read.

“Please be assured that you were contacted about a survey sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The NIS-Child, NIS-Teen, NIS-CIM, NIS-CCM, and NIS-ACM are conducted for CDC by NORC at the University of Chicago,” it stated.

The surveys collect data through telephone interviews with parents or guardians in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and some U.S. territories.

This survey will then be sent to doctors and other vaccination providers when a parent or guardian gives permission to collect data from vaccination providers.

It’s sickening and a potential violation of HIPAA that the CDC has contacted me,” she added.

“How did they get my contact information?  I have a guess, but it’s just speculative on my part. I used to live in Illinois and worked at a private school.  When I tested positive for COVID in September 2021, the school was required to report positive cases including the name and contact information of the case. I’m sure the state of Illinois shared my contact information with the CDC.”

CDC claimed that cell phone numbers are randomly selected by a computer and called to enroll one or more age-eligible child or teen from the household.

The concerned parent believed this is all part of a scheme by the Biden administration to force the experimental vaccination on young children.

“Even more sickening and disturbing is that they want to know about children in my household clearly because of the latest vaccine push for kids ages 6 months to 17 years.”

“This government agency is out of order and relying on intimidation and sheer force of power to push an agenda,” she added.

More from CDC:

The National Immunization Surveys (NIS) are a group of telephone surveys sponsored and conducted by CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD). Administered by NORC at the University of Chicago since 2005, the NIS is one of the largest telephone surveys in the nation and its data are considered the gold standard for public health surveillance on immunization rates. The NIS produces high-quality estimates on the rate of immunization among children in the U.S., considered a critical contributor to the prevention of childhood diseases.

The NIS-Child consists of an interview conducted by telephone with households randomly selected and screened for the presence of young children. Respondents are asked a series of questions about the vaccinations received by selected children (including recommended seasonal flu and COVID-19 vaccines), as well as questions about the availability of health insurance and selected demographic information. Respondents are also asked for permission to contact the children’s health providers for the sole purpose of obtaining immunization records, providing an important supplement to the household report. NORC then sends an Immunization History Questionnaire via mail to these health providers.

Last week, the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices voted to recommend the COVID-19 vaccine to be included in the 2023 childhood immunization schedule in 15 unanimous votes.

ACIP recommends the use of COVID-19 vaccines for everyone ages 6 months and older. COVID-19 vaccine and other vaccines may be administered on the same day.

Below is the list of Republican governors who will not comply with the CDC to force COVID vaccination on kids for school.
